Harvest’s free plan stops at two projects. Here’s a free alternative without that limit.
Harvest has a permanent free plan, and it does let you bill by the hour. It also allows one person and two active projects. If you work for more than two clients at a time, the free plan runs out before your week does.
The real difference: how many projects you can bill
WorkSnap has no project or client limit. A rate set on your profile flows down to every client and project automatically, and any one of them can hold its own value without breaking the ones that still follow. Rounding rules work the same way, and a client or project can hold a monthly pool of prepaid hours.
There is no paid plan and there will never be one. Nothing you use today can be moved behind a payment tomorrow.

Where Harvest is ahead
This page is about a structural difference, not a claim that WorkSnap does more. Harvest does several things WorkSnap deliberately doesn’t:
- Invoicing in the same tool
- Paid plans for teams, with per-person rates and team reports
- Native web, desktop and mobile apps
- Accounting integrations on paid plans
When to stay with Harvest
If you invoice from your time tracker, work on two projects or fewer, or expect to grow into a team plan, Harvest is the more sensible choice.
WorkSnap is for the narrower case: one person, billing by the hour across any number of clients, who wants rates, rounding and reporting to work properly without paying for them.
