What happened in April 2026
The basics became premium.
In April 2026, Clockify moved a set of features out of its free plan. If you’re a freelancer who bills by the hour, the list probably looks familiar.

Nothing here is a jab at Clockify — it’s a good product and this was their call to make. But if hourly rates are how you get paid, that call moved your core workflow behind a subscription. WorkSnap exists for the people it moved.
If you’ve used Clockify, you already know how this works
The timer bar, the way entries group by day and week with running totals, the description-first workflow, the project picker with clients underneath — those conventions are deliberately familiar. Switching tools shouldn’t mean relearning how to start a timer.
There’s no import, though: your old history stays where it is.

Billable, not billed to you
Mark any entry billable or not, and set hourly rates per project, per client, or as a profile default — each level inherits from the one above it. This is the feature others put behind a paywall. Here it’s the entire point.
Timer or manual, one layout
Run a live timer or fill it in afterwards — same clean row either way. Descriptions autocomplete from your recent work, and you can edit any finished entry in place, without opening a form.
Reports that add up
A detailed log and a dashboard, filtered by client, project, billable status and date range — with no 31-day ceiling. Export to CSV, XLSX or PDF. Multi-currency aware: it will never sum two currencies into one wrong number.
Built for your phone
Mobile-first and complete on a small screen. Start, stop and edit from anywhere — the layout reflows, the features don’t shrink.
There is no paid plan. So there is nothing to move behind one.
Free plans get cut when they compete with a paid plan. WorkSnap doesn’t have one, so that pressure doesn’t exist here. It’s one person, one product, and a deliberately small scope — no team seats to sell, no integrations to maintain, no enterprise tier to protect.

Notice something missing?
There was no cookie banner when you arrived. That’s not an oversight — there’s nothing here that would need your consent.
Analytics run on a private Umami instance on our own servers in the EU. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps, no third-party scripts loading fonts or widgets from somewhere else. The only cookies WorkSnap sets are the ones that keep you logged in.
We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
We never train AI models on your data. Your entries describe your clients’ work. They aren’t training material.
Your data stays in the EU. Application, database, backups and analytics — all hosted in the European Union (Google Cloud, region europe-west1).
Most tools tell you this in a privacy policy you’ll never open. The missing banner tells you before you read anything.
