Deleting time entries

Deleting a time entry doesn’t erase it. It moves to a recycle bin, where you can put it back — for 7 days.

Undoing a delete right away

When you delete an entry from the Time Tracker list, a short confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen with an Undo button. That is the fastest way back, and the one to reach for if you deleted the wrong row by accident.

The confirmation disappears after a few seconds. Nothing is lost when it does — it just means the slower route below is now the one to use.

Restoring later

Deleted entries are listed under Settings → Time entries, newest deletion first. Each row has a Restore action that brings the entry back exactly as it was — same times, same project, same billable marking.

You can also select several rows at once and restore them together, which is usually what you want after deleting a run of entries you meant to keep.

Entries in the bin are not counted in any report. Restoring one puts it back into your totals right away — but it only reappears on the Time Tracker list if it falls within the recent weeks that list currently shows. An older restored entry is still there; you’ll find it in Reports → Detailed.

What happens after 7 days

An entry that has been in the bin longer than 7 days is deleted permanently, automatically. That deletion is final — there is no second bin behind the first one, and support cannot bring it back.

You will not be warned before it happens. There is no email and no countdown on the row, so if an entry matters, restore it rather than leaving it in the bin. The same page also lets you delete an entry permanently yourself, if you would rather not wait.

Projects and clients are separate

This bin holds time entries only. Deleting a project or a client does not delete the entries logged against it — those stay on your list and in your reports, with the time and the description intact. The project name itself no longer shows next to them once the project is gone.
